Meet the Beekeepers: Meet the Team
TODD MCCREA
Beekeeper, Co-owner
Todd McCrea is a full-time ASE Master Technician at a local car dealership and full time caregiver of the bees. He, his wife, and their three children live in Elburn, Illinois. Todd has been around and worked with bees since he was six years old, starting with selling honey for grandfather, Harry Patterson, who has been in the business for over thirty years.
ZACH BUTCHER
Beekeeper, Co-owner
Zach Butcher is a full-time science teacher at Geneva North Middle School and full-time caregiver of the bees at Patterson Bee Farm. Zach manages the observation hive at Red Oak Nature Center in Batavia, Il. He is a former naturalist at Red Oak Nature Center, and still spends most of his off time outdoors.
